To attend a clinic by a Paediatrician you will require a referral letter from your GP.  These clinics involve a Paediatrician, Diabetes Educator, Dietitian and Psychologist.

The paediatric diabetes clinics care for children with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, including those on insulin pumps.

Burnie - Paediatrician

Clinics are run every fortnight on a Tuesday at the North West Diabetes Centre, 52-56 Bass Highway, Cooee.

Devonport - Paediatrician

Clinics are run twice a month on Monday or Friday at the Devonport Commnity and Health Service Centre: Steele Street, Devonport.

To refer, Medical Officers can:

Nurse Practitioner

These clinics are held at both sites to support young people moving from the paediatric to the adult clinics.  Flexible ways of contacting the young person to keep them in the health system are used.
