Insulin pump clinics

To attend a clinic by an Endocrinologist you will require a referral letter from your GP.  You may self refer to a Nurse Practitioner clinic.  All clinics use a mutidisciplinary approach to care and may involve other health professionals as needed.

Having surgery in the near future?

If you are having surgery in the near future and you are expected to fast, talking to the Endocrinologist or Nurse Practitioner in regards to a plan for your insulin pump therapy.  They will discuss this plan with your anaesthetist.

Burnie clinics

  • The Endocrinologist holds pump clinics in the morning of the last Thursday of each month.
  • Nurse Practitioner pump clinics are held each week on a Monday afternoon.

Devonport clinics

  • The Endocrinologist holds pump clinics in the morning of the last Wednesday each month.
  • Nurse Practitioner pump clinics are held fortnightly on a Thursday afternoon.
